Role:
To Chair all Local Association Meetings, to collate nominations for AGM.

Vice-president: post vacant
Role:

To chair meetings in the absence of the President. To become president at next AGM.

Past President: post vacant
Role:
Ceremonial: To chair meetings in absence of above two members

Secretary: John Girdley (contact)
Role:
Day to day running of the Association, arrange all LA meetings, attend Lancashire Federation meetings and Secretaries Briefings, first port of call for School Representatives looking for advice, advice to members, members casework, liaison with NW Regional Centre. To attend courses and briefings as appropriate.

Treasurer: Mrs Barbara Shackleton (contact)
Role:

Custodian and Guardian of the Local Associations Finances. To attend federation treasurers briefings and training course at Rednal as required.

Minutes secretary: Mrs Brenda Nattrass
Role:
Minuting all local association meetings.

Benevolent secretary: Vacant but covered by Mr John Girdley (contact)
Role:

To aid members in financial distress. (NASUWT has a national Benevolent Fund.)

Recruitment secretary: Post Vacant .
Role:
Recruitment is part of all School Reps and Local Secretaries Brief.

Equal Opportunities Officer: Sue Greenhow
Role:
To advise on gender, race, disability, sexuality, and age discrimination issues etc. (Training will be provided)

Union Learning Representative: New post - unfilled
Role:
To facilitate lifelong learning amongst members: training to be provided. My understanding is that the Rep. would have a legal right to time of work to pursue this, although the cost would be borne by the place of work.
